CAPITAL HEALTHCARE INSTITUTE
Certificate in Massage Therapy
The Massage Therapy program at Capital Healthcare Institute consists of 600 hours of training. The massage therapy program is taught in a linear fashion meaning every student progresses through the program in the same fashion to ensure that components are taught in a logical and orderly fashion. Upon graduation, the students will have a thorough understanding of the major muscle groups of the body, be able to identify the origin, insertion, and action of all major muscle groups, name anatomical structures in all body systems, define and discuss basic physiology, and define and discuss common pathologies of the body. In addition, students will learn different massage techniques and modalities, and will be prepared to take the MBLEx state licensing examination, offered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB).
